Telehealth or telemedicine is the practice of medicine where the practitioner is physically removed from the patient and the consultation occurs via some form of electronic communication. It can be as simple as a response to an email or phone conversation, through to a virtual reality environment where both the doctor and patient interact with each other in a VR online world.
We offer several levels of Telehealth services:
1. Email questions +/- attached AV files, with a response within 12 hours of request.
2. Telephone / VoIP consultation (+/- data transmission), response within 12 hours of request
3. Telephone / VoIP consultation (+/- data transmission), immediate response 24/7
You will be speaking to a specialist Emergency Physician or Intensivist. We also have realtime access to Cardiologists and Infectious Disease Physicians if required. We are able to provide you with immediate and ongoing medical advice and support, but also liase with your insurance company to facilitate evacuation if required.
We are also available for more minor problems and we have found simply having spoken to a specialist can be immensely reassuring and can enable you to continue with your journey with a new positive peace of mind.
